Surface Preparation

• New Surface to be cured 28 days before painting and free from all waterproofing issues

• Prepare the surface by using suitable sand/emery paper or scrapping tools to remove dirt, dust, grease, loose flaking paint, laitance, algae, fungi etc. and wipe it clean

Primer

• Apply coat of Shalimar Water Thinnable Cement Primer/ Water Neutralizing Cement/ Universal White Primer as per recommendation. Allow it to dry for 6-8 hrs

• Do spot priming before and after filling nail holes/cracks

 

Putty

• Level the surface with Shalimar Magic Acrylic Wall Putty or Shalimar Shakti wall guard putty and allow it to dry for 4-6 hrs

• Sand Surface with 180/320 emery paper and wipe it clean

• Apply an additional coat depending upon the surface conditions and smoothen the surface

Top Coat

• Thin Master Emulsion with potable water, 60% to 70% by volume, for dark shade thin with potable water 20-30% by volume.

• Apply 2-3 coats of Master Emulsion with an interval of 4-6 hrs

• Application can be done by brush, roller or spray.

• For dark shades require additional 3rd or 4th coats for better hiding and look appearances.
